| Ashburton Family Services provides high quality childcare at Woodlanders Kindergarten and a range of family services. We are a small charity run by a committee of local people who wish to be able to offer quality childcare and family support services for families living in and around the Ashburton area. The services we run are Woodlanders Kindergarten, Woodlanders Toddlers and Munchkins as well as providing support for Hedgehogs Playgroup. We also offer specialised sessions such as Heuristic Play, Treasure Baskets, Parachute sessions, noisy and messy play, soft play and fun sessions. Our organisation relies on the enthusiasm and support of volunteers. We welcome any additional input in shaping and running our service, such as being part of the committee that oversees the running of all our services. | Hedgehogs Playgroup |
| Hedgehogs is a parent led group playgroup and come together weekly to provide a morning of playtime, craft activities, a healthy snack, singing and story time. Please come and join in the fun. £1.50 per family, all children must be accompanied by a parent or carer. Fridays 10am - noon |

| Kindergarten |
| Kindergarten is open from 9.15am to 3.15pm Monday to Friday. At Kindergarten we take children aged 3-5 years old, and using "learning through play" we teach the Foundation Stage Curriculum which is continued through the Reception class at whichever Primary School the children attend. We aim to value each child for who they are and to help them foster a sense of their own unique identity. We also support children to learn and develop skills at mixing and working with other children. We work to the National Standards for Day Care and are inspected by Ofsted. We have passed the Pre-School Learning Alliance Accreditation scheme and are recognised as "Investors in Children". Woodlanders Kindergarten is based at the Family Centre in Woodland Road. | Toddlers is a small group for children from 2-3 years old where our first aim is to support both parents/carers and children in separating from each other.
