Ashburton Brownies
The 1st Ashburton brownies meet on Tuesdays in St Andrews Church Hall, West Street. Meetings start at 6.00pm and finish at 7.30pm and girls aged between seven and ten are welcome to join. The new Brownie Programme is called "Brownie Adventure". The name reflects the excitement and fun it offers each Brownie (and her leaders). The Brownie Adventure is dynamic and recognises the diverse needs of all young girls and their leaders (whatever their backgrounds) in the 21st century. It's bright and modern, with a framework that encourages each girl to realise her full potential and to progress through Brownies by taking part in a variety of fun, interesting and challenging activities. The Ashburton Brownies continues to provide young girls with a full programme of structured, well-organised and entertaining evenings throughout the year in school term times. It is a break from the routine of schoolwork and allows the children to develop friendships away from school and, by setting some "fun" challenges, it permits children to grow naturally over a period and register achievements outside of the academic environment. If you have a responsibility for bringing up a young girl and think that she might enjoy being involved, then the first thing to do is telephone me on (01364) 654118, so that I may speak to you about any vacancies that exist, and perhaps arrange to allow her to experience one of our evenings. Ashburton Youth Football Club
Ashburton Youth FC is a voluntary run not-for-profit, FA Charter Standard-based Youth Football Club, providing football coaching for children in Ashburton and the surrounding areas. The club currently has a large number of registered players, with ages ranging from 6 to 17 years of age. As a club, the health, safety and welfare of every child that participates in football is our first and most important priority. This is closely followed by our commitment to providing a happy and inclusive environment for children to learn and develop their football skills under the tutelage of experienced coaches, who are FA qualified and have the appropriate CRB child safety checks and emergency aid qualifications.

It is an absolute commitment of the club that no child is ever excluded from playing football for any reason. We strongly believe that football is a game to be played and enjoyed by everyone, and our success is measured not by the trophies we win, but by the number of children who choose to play for us.

Our ethos is clear and underpins our mission: to be a safe, happy, open and inclusive football club that strives to provide the best overall football experience for your child.

Training takes place on a week night at the local 3G pitch. Different age groups train on different nights. Up-to-date information on training times and dates for the coming season can be found on our website. Matches are played on a Sunday.
